Black's Community Cats - Feral Cat trap, neuter, return

We are currently UNABLE to provide spay/neuter to cats outside of Valencia County.

HARTNM provides free spay/neuter for free roaming cats in Valencia County. TNR (trap, neuter, return) allows feral cats to live out their natural life where they already are, while preventing them from reproducing and avoiding unnecessary euthanasia. TNR cats will also receive vaccines.

Spay/Neuter Services Offered

  • Self Trapping: We provide you with loaner traps. You trap the cats and bring them to us for spay/neuter, then you pick them up after recovery and return them to their outdoor home.

  • Assisted Trapping: Available for those who are physically unable to self trap. Assisted trapping resources are limited.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Cats/kittens may not be owned, this service is for free roaming outdoor cats only

  • Cats/kittens must be a minimum of 2 pounds and healthy enough for spay/neuter

  • Cats/kittens will be fixed and returned to you unless we deem that cat to be socialized and adoptable.

  • We do not take surrenders of or relocate feral cats

  • All cats/kittens will be ear-tipped (ear-tipping explained)

  • To qualify for free spay/neuter, cats/kittens must be from an address inside Valencia County
